In a Cup of Tea

So we talked a little bit about the final story in Kwaidan and a lot of people were critical of it. Compared to the other three, it's relatively brief and intimate and doesn't have as clear of a moral lesson. The only way in which I can think that it "fits" is because it recounts a ghost story that has itself only been half finished, perhaps like the movie since it only includes four of the tales from the original Kaidan literature. I'd love some more feedback on why you think the film ends this way.
